Craft Beer in Orlando's Milk District

I have fun exploring Orlando's Milk District. This funky Orlando neighborhood gets its name due to the location close to the T.G. Lee milk processing Plant.

The Milk District has local shops, eateries, bars, and entertainment.

Some places are scattered about the neighborhood while others are near to one another. There are a few of my favorite craft beer bars located in the Milk District. They are in close proximity to each other, so it makes for an easy evening of bar hopping.

I always enjoy a tasty beer on the patio. Barley & Vine Biergarten is a fun place to enjoy a drink outdoors. This Biergarten has a nice selection of craft beer. They have over 130 bottles and about 25 on tap. You'll find delicious ciders too. There are wines as well. There are plenty of good ones to choose from. You can check out their current tap list on Taphunter.

Their beer selection is a big draw for me, but the atmosphere is one I enjoy just as much. I love being out in the sunshine and there's nothing like drinking a beer with friends in the Biergarten. There are about a dozen or so picnic tables out back. They have some foam pads for your tush. Though there are umbrellas, it's Florida and hot days are hot.

If you'd rather sit inside there is some seating at the bar and a handful of small 4 top bar tables.

If you visit on Sunday they are cooking brats on the grill and they're free with drink purchase. The Brats are delish too!

If you stop by other days feel free to bring in outside food. I like to swing by Pom Pom's next door and bring my sandwich over to the Biergarten to enjoy with my beer.

Service has always been friendly. They have a few events taking place each month that is fun to check out.

I can't figure out when I enjoy the Barley & Vine the most, on a hot sunny day drinking with friends or in the evening chilling out under the glowing lights in the garden? Either way, I always enjoy my visits.

I enjoy many food trucks in Orlando.  One of my favorite ways to visit them out is out at Tasty Tuesdays. This weekly food truck gathering takes place in the parking lot behind The Milk Bar.  There is about a dozen rotating food trucks that set up shop each week. Making for a fun night of local eats and hanging out.

The Milk Bar is one of a couple of places where you can enjoy your dinner from the food trucks in the comfort of an air-conditioned bar. It's a win-win for me because I get to enjoy some "tasty" local bites along with "tasty" beer at The Milk Bar.

The Milk Bar is a small local watering hole sandwiched along the other local businesses lining E. Robinson.  Space is a bit eclectic with rotating art for sale adorning the walls. While Tasty Tuesdays is a big night; other nights the draw is live music or trivia taking place.

I like the intimate feeling of the bar. I'm usually here early to enjoy some food truck bites and beer. I'm not sure how crowded it gets later, but while I'm at the bar it has a nice relaxing vibe about the place. They have a good selection of craft beer bottles and a few on draft that I enjoy. My last visit I had one of my favorites from Stone Brewing Co. to enjoy with my tacos from Bem Bom Food Truck.

The Milk Bar is a place where you can have a good time hanging with friends, enjoy an evening of local food truck fare or chill and enjoy the music. A cool local bar with that Orlando local flavor.

Sportstown Billiards is a bit of a hole in the wall that serves up a surprisingly good beer list. This is a fun place to hang out and play some pool, darts, card games, video games and more.

Sportstown is a place you can catch a game on the TV, but be prepared for a smoke filled bar. I usually stay clear of smoking establishments, but I have found that if I go early enough it's not as busy and  I'm ok with it. You can also enjoy your beers on the back patio and hope no smokers follow you out.

They have over 250 beers to choose from. Their regular beer menu can be found on their website. Sportstown does a great job of updating their rotating beers on Facebook. Every day there is an updated list and you can see what's new and what has stayed the same. I appreciate the time put into this and I will stop by when I see a beer that catches my eye.

While the beer menu is impressive what makes it great are their prices. Sportstown has to be one of the cheapest places to drink good beer in Orlando. Most of their beers are $3.50-$4. On top of the cheap prices, they have various specials throughout the week like .50 off craft on Wednesdays.

Sportstown Billiards does serve food, but I only come for the beer. If I want a snack I enjoy the tasty free popcorn.

Beer and billiards make for a pretty good night in Orlando's Milk District.
