A Brewery Visit to Two Henrys Brewing Company in Plant City Florida

My first visit to Two Henrys Brewing Company was two years ago. Bryan and I stopped by on a Saturday night. We thought a visit to the brewery would be a good way to break up the drive back to Orlando.

I remember getting off the Dinosaur World exit and driving north wondering where the heck is this brewery? Then I spotted a parking lot filled with cars and knew the brewery was where it's at on a Saturday night. The scene reminded me of being back home in Michigan. You have this brewery in the middle of nowhere attracting people to come out and enjoy a beer on a Saturday night.

Welcome to Two Henrys
My most recent visit to Two Henrys was on a Sunday afternoon. I'm quite surprised it took me two years to come back for another visit. I really enjoyed myself the first time and thought for sure I'd be back with all the driving to and from Tampa I do. This time, around it, wasn't as crowded. This was during the Strawberry Festival so I'm sure after the festival this was the place to be.

Two Henrys Brewing Company is one of the larger tasting rooms I've been too. There is a lot of seating inside and even more out. The brewery is also the home of Keel and Curley Winery. Along with the fresh beers and wine, they also have ciders on tap. A nice variety of drinks to choose from.

The name Two Henrys comes from two notable Henrys that have some historic importance here in Florida. The names of some of the beers reflect that era with Gilded Age Lager (4.5% ABV) and 7Mile Bridge English Style IPA (6% ABV).

The first visit I went with a flight. The beers back then have become their signature beers. Along with the two mentioned previously, they also have Belleview Biltmore Blueberry Vanilla Wheat (5.3% ABV) and Hop Tycoon Double IPA (9.5% ABV). These beers are available in cans around town.

I'm particularly fond of their blueberry beers. I'm a fan of fruit beers. They were my crossover beers way back when. The Belleview Biltmore Blueberry Vanilla Wheat is refreshing. It's very aromatic. I think blueberries and vanilla are wonderful scents and to have them in a beer is quite nice. This is a light and refreshing beer to enjoy on the patio.

My other favorite blueberry beer is their Roasted Jalepeño Blueberry Porter (5.5% ABV). It is different, but it works. There is a nice blueberry aroma. You start off with a taste of blueberries and you end with a kick in your mouth. It's spicy and nice.

I enjoyed one of my favorite Two Henrys beers at the Halfway There Beer Festival. It was a Kolsch aged on organic green tea with strawberries and rhubarb. Again it sounds a little out there, but it was delicious. Another beer with a wonderful aromatic smell that made for a great taste.

If you're looking for a brewery experience that will please a bunch of people Two Henrys Brewing Company is your place. Space is large for groups and the offerings should appease all. It's a family friendly brewery complete with a playground. If you're coming for the wine they do have winery tours. There is a food truck if you're looking to enjoy some bites with your beers.

I just need to work on taking more brewery pit stops in Plant City.
