A Brewery Visit to Ten10 Brewing in Orlando Florida

The Orlando craft beer community anxiously awaited the opening of Ten10 Brewing Co. Orlando's newest brewery finally got the green light and opened their doors in July of 2015 and Bryan and I stopped by with some friends opening day to check them out.

Ten10 Brewing is located at 1010 Virginia Dr, hence the name. The brewery is in the Mills50 District, and not too far from Ivanhoe Village. There are many craft beer spots in the area making Ten10 a nice addition. It'd be fun to enjoy an afternoon or evening of craft beer hopping in the neighborhood.

The brewery is right off the Orlando Urban Trail making it a biking destination. If you're not walking or biking over for beer, the brewery does have a lot in the back with about sixteen or so spaces for parking. There is some street parking as well.

During our first visit, there were seven beers on tap with two of them being guest taps. The beers were your basic lot from a witbier to a stout. All the beers have a generic name due to their focus on opening the brewery and beer making. They thought it would be best to wait a bit and come up with names after they have more time to breathe. Though I kinda like it simple and generic.

I prefer to do a flight on first visits, but it was a bit crazy so I went with a single pour. I got their Farmhouse Ale (6% ABV) and Bryan got a pint of their Gold (7% ABV). It turns out I didn't need a flight because everyone at our table ordered a different beer and we all sampled each other's beers.

My favorite out of the beers I tried was their IPA (7.5%ABV). It was nice and hoppy with some bitterness. We ended up ordering a pint of that for our second beer. I thought the beers I tried were pretty solid for flagship beers. I look forward to once they get established seeing some variety with each style.

The tasting room was a decent size with plenty of seating at the bar, a few booths and a handful of tables. There's a comfortable feel about the place. The large windows are nice to see out onto Virginia Dr. and they bring in natural light into the space.

I had a great time checking out Ten10 and enjoying some local beers with friends. It was fun to see so many in the local beer community coming out and support the brewery on opening day. The staff did a great job. They were all friendly and helpful.

Since our first visit back in July of 2015 Ten10 has become a local watering hole for us. We like stopping by for events they have going on like the Halloween Candy Beer Crawl they do with Cask & Larder and Redlight Redlight.

I love that most visits we run into friends or regulars at the brewery. It's become one of our local watering holes. I love that there are great beer stops nearby as well.
